ounded in 1989, the Kansas City Legends Soccer Club currently registers 47 teams spanning the U-6 to U-19 age groups. Based in suburban Kansas City area, the club regularly contends for championships in regional and national soccer tournaments in the older age groups.

The hallmark of all Kansas City Legends teams is superb individual skills. Development of the individual player is emphasized over team success. However, winning is a natural consequence of maximizing each individual player's potential. Players are given equal playing time in league games and are encouraged to pursue their highest individual goals.

Participation in the Olympic Development Program is encouraged and supported by the coaching staff. Each year, the U-13 team has traveled to Europe to gain international tournament experience.

Kansas City Legends teams stress indoor training and play during the winter months to allow for a year round playing experience. Uninterrupted training enhances the development of individual ball handling skills and helps build the confidence necessary to excel in game situations.

All year round the Legends Club holds the Academy dribbling and finishing development program to better prepare players for the highest level of play. The Club introduced the Legends Soccer Academy in June of 2001 to provide a strong foundation of individual skills for players four to fourteen years of age.

Since its inception, Kansas City Legends have won over 47 Kansas State championships, placed 5 times in the USYSA National Championship Final Four and won prestigious national tournaments such as the Pikes Peak and the USA Cup. Kansas City Legends teams have won 14 National Indoor Championships. Often the leaders of their high school soccer teams, over 85% of Kansas City Legends players have graduated to compete at the collegiate or professional level.

The Kansas City Legends are members of the SuperClubs of North America.
